Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Overview
This policy explains what data Open Longevity collects, how cookies are used, and your rights, including under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
What we collect
- Server/hosting logs: standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamp) generated automatically by our hosting provider for security and performance purposes.
- Analytics (if enabled): aggregated, privacy-respecting usage analytics (e.g. pages viewed, referring site, approximate location at country/city level) may be used to understand which content is useful. No account or login system exists on this site, so no name, email, or personal profile is collected through normal browsing.
- Advertising cookies (if you consent): if this site displays advertising via Google AdSense or a similar network, that network may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where permitted by your consent choice. See "Advertising" below.
- Contact: if you email us via the address on the About page, we retain that correspondence to respond to you and do not use it for any other purpose.
Cookie consent
On your first visit, a banner asks you to accept or reject non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising). Strictly necessary cookies required for basic site function are not subject to this choice. Your preference is stored in your browser's local storage; you can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's site data and revisiting, or by adjusting your browser/ad-network privacy settings directly.
If you are located in the EU/EEA/UK, non-essential cookies (including advertising cookies) are only set after you actively accept them, consistent with GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. If you reject non-essential cookies, only strictly necessary cookies are used and no personalised advertising is served to you by this site's own configuration.
Advertising
This site is built to support display advertising via Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, and you can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Our `ads.txt` file authorises approved advertising sellers for this domain.
Affiliate links
Where this site includes affiliate or referral links (for example, to a laboratory or testing provider), we will label them clearly as such. We only feature providers for tests that are graded Moderate or Strong on this site; we do not accept payment to feature or promote a Weak or Emerging test, and payment never changes an evidence grade. See Methodology.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because this site does not require an account and collects minimal personal data through normal browsing, most requests will simply involve clearing cookies/local storage in your browser or adjusting the advertising network's own consent tools linked above. For any other request, contact us via the details on the About page.
Data retention
Server logs are retained only as long as necessary for security and performance troubleshooting, per our hosting provider's standard retention period. We do not sell personal data.
Children
This site is intended for a general adult and clinical audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site's advertising or analytics setup changes. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
