What this is

Open Longevity is an independent, educational reference reviewing the evidence behind diagnostic tests marketed for longevity and preventive health — blood panels, imaging, and newer consumer categories like epigenetic clocks and microbiome testing. It was built because the gap between well-evidenced tests (a coronary calcium score) and speculative ones (a consumer "biological age" test) is often invisible inside a single bundled "executive health" package price tag.

How content is produced

Each test is reviewed against the rubric described on the Methodology page, drawing on landmark randomised trials, large prospective cohorts, and major guideline statements (USPSTF, ACC/AHA, ESC/EAS, Endocrine Society, KDIGO, and others). Every specific claim is backed by a real, linkable citation; where a claim could not be verified against a real source, we say so rather than presenting an unsupported figure. Research and drafting for this site were assisted by AI tools under human editorial review; grading judgements and final content are the responsibility of the site.

Independence
